Total length: 4
kmTorprundan is a moderately challenging, quality-assured and certified Hiking Värmland trail that takes you through some of the most scenic areas of Hovfjället. The hike begins with a climb toward the top of Hovfjället, where a lookout tower offers sweeping views across the landscape. From here, the trail continues through sparse pine forest and open wetlands before entering dense spruce forest.
Halfway along Torprundan lies the Bondfugestorp rest cabin, an old croft from the late 1800s. Here, you have the opportunity to grill at fireplaces both indoors and outdoors. The meadows around the croft are maintained through annual mowing to preserve the unique wildflower flora. Along the trail, you will also find informational signs about Hovfjället’s natural and cultural history.
For those who wish to shorten the hike, there is a shortcut along the trail.
