Årjäng Camping & Cottages Sommarvik is a year-round, family-friendly holiday resort located just south of Årjäng in Western Värmland. Sommarvik is surrounded by beautiful forests and lakes in Värmland and offers cottages and camping in a fantastic landscape close to nature. The facility is located on a slope, which means that several of the cottages and camping sites have lake views.
Glamping
Our cozy glamping tents are located on a terraced slope on the south side of the facility, with lovely views of Lake Västra Silen. Wake up in the morning, fold up the canvas, stay in bed and enjoy the view. Toilet, shower and kitchen can be used in service buildings in the area. Tap for drinking water (cold water) is located near the tent. There is electricity in the tent as well as a small selection of household utensils with crockery, glasses and cutlery, cutting board, dishes accessories, kettle and a small refrigerator. Sheets and towels are included in the price. Final cleaning is also included, but you are responsible for your garbage and your dishes.
Please note that the tent is locked with a padlock but that we do not recommend leaving valuable possessions when the tent is empty. It is possible to lock in any valuable possessions at the reception. Like regular tents, the glamping tent also does not have a temperature control system, which means that it can get hot in the tent in the middle of the day as it is nowhere near shade.
Breakfast is served in a restaurant during high season. Outside that period, breakfast bags or breakfast accessories are available for purchase in the store. Lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant and pool bar. If you would rather cook your own food, you can do it in the kitchens available in the service houses, or why not bring your own storm kitchen for the ultimate nature experience?
The glamping tents are open for booking for a limited time during the summer. Dates may vary. Booking through our online booking, email or phone. If you have special requests, this must be stated at the time of booking so that we can meet your needs as far as possible.
Camping
Nothing compares to a successful camping holiday during the summer holidays! At Sommarvik there is plenty of space for children and adults to socialize, play, relax and experience new adventures. Whether you want to camp, caravan camp or come in a motorhome, they give you a five-star environment and environment for a child-friendly holiday home, personal service and lots of activities! At the holiday campsite there are about 100 camping sites to choose from. All plots have power, except for a few tent plots, and are centrally located at the facility. The electricity is included in the price. The plots have different size and high bearing capacity.
Cottages
At Sommarvik there are 12 different types of cottages and holiday villages. Everything from simple camping cabins just a stone's throw from the beach, to larger self-catering cottages with all amenities and with lovely views from the terraces. In total there are 68 cottages with 3-7 beds and a group accommodation with 18 beds.
Activities
At Årjäng Camping & Cottages there are lots of activities for the whole family. There is a large pool area with three pools, including a small children's pool and a large infinity pool with a sliding glass roof and with stunning views of the lake. There is also a shallow and family-friendly beach, adventure golf, 6 different playgrounds and rental of canoes, kayaks and SUP. During high season, leader-led activities are organized and children can play and have fun in the Kids Club. Wood-fired sauna and relaxation area with jacuzzi and steam room. There is also a restaurant, pool bar and ice cream parlor that is open during the summer.
