The gathering place for adventure seekers is the fun park with jumps of all sizes, rails and even an airbag where you can land softly after a jump. Many slalom clubs hold their training camps here at Valfjället. So there are slopes even for the skilful skier! Every morning you are greeted by freshly groomed slopes, a fantastic feeling! The queues are rarely long and flow at a good pace. With its 220 metres, Valfjället has one of southern Sweden’s highest drop heights and the longest possible descent is 1800 metres – only 280 kilometres from Gothenburg!

Branäs – Sweden’s most family-friendly skiing

Branäs – now Sweden’s fourth largest ski resort – has won the Grand Children’s Holiday Award in the category of Sweden’s best ski resort for families with children 13 times. And it’s easy to understand why. There are 34 slopes, 31 lifts, lots of free children’s activities and family-friendly accommodation right on the slopes. That way, you can hit the slopes first thing in the morning instead of packing and unpacking your car every day. As if that wasn’t enough, the lift pass is free for children under 7 years old. In addition to child-friendly skiing, it’s worth mentioning that Branäs has Sweden’s tenth highest vertical drop. Getting hungry after a day on the slopes? Branäs offers a wide range of restaurants with family-friendly menus and the opportunity to order both take away and delivery directly to the door. Take the opportunity to book a wonderful ski holiday for the whole family at Branäs!

Skiing holiday in the Hovfjället nature reserve

Hovfjället is beautifully situated with a magnificent view. Its elevation of 542 meters above sea level makes Hovfjället very snow-reliable. Here, there is a ski resort offering alpine downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobile trails. The skiing is family-friendly and suits both experienced skiers who want a little more challenge and beginners who want easy and varied slopes. There are a total of 13 slopes, six lifts and 22 kilometres of well-prepared cross-country trails for great skiing. Take a look at the pistemap over Hovfjället and get inspired for your next skiing adventure.

The ski centre is located in the middle of a nature reserve, and from the top you can admire the beautiful views before heading down one of the slopes. For children trying skiing for the first time, Hovfjället is also suitable. The children’s mountain (and slope) that ends right next to the warming hut and restaurant means that the joy of skiing can sparkle all day long. There is also a ski school for all levels. Do you want to vary downhill skiing with cross-country skiing? Then Hovfjället, in its role as perhaps Sweden’s most southern mountain nature, is just the right choice for both downhill and cross-country skiing.
