Klarälvsbanan (the Klarälven trail) is an outdoor experience which constitutes 90 kilometers of asphalt which meanders straight through the landscapes of Värmland, from Karlstad in the south to Hagfors in the north. You will pass Forshaga, Deje, Ransäter, Munkfors, Hagfors and reach the end in Uddeholm.
Klarälvsbanan is a disused railway embankment. The entire trail is coated with asphalt and traffic is strictly prohibited. Klarälvsbanan will take you from an open farmland in the south to the dark and welcoming forest in the north.
In Uddeholm Klarälvsleden (the Klarälven path) commences. Klarälvsleden is a 120 kilometer long cycle and hiking path through wilderness and forest roads, from Hagfors/Uddeholm to Sysslebäck.
