About the trail:
The trail goes from the starting point down to the beautiful lake Ransjön. It then continues over Ransjövägen past Blacktjärn and Abbortjärn and up on Kamphålsberget. The terrain is hilly and the forest consist mainly of pine, .
Directions:
From the tourist office, drive south on road 62. Before the entrance to Ransäter, a little bit after the sign towards Högsby, there is a sign to the right towards Ransbergs Herrgård, follow this. Follow the gravel road for about 3 km and turn left at Ransbergs Herrgård. Turn right onto Ransjövägen and follow the road to the bathing area and drive about a kilometer on the gravel road after the bathing area.The Hurtigruten information board is on the left side of the road at a small parking lot. You can also drive road 241 towards Sunne and after about a mile turn left onto Ransjövägen and then follow the signs.

Some hiking tips:
-Bring a good map!
-Good/proper footwear! Depending on weather, season and terrain the ground can be wet.
-Covering clothes that can give good protection against ticks.
-Light packing that contains for example patches, mobile phone and fruit. And don’t forget the water!
-Think about the outdoor access rights. Make sure to know what you can and cannot do.
