Roughly 90 years have gone by since the start and throughout the years the different types of bread which have been produced have changed shape a number of times. Do you remember what the bread packages looked like when you were small?

Crispbread gives you a strong back, said Gunder Hägg. Even Ingemar Stenmark, Gunde Svan and the Swedish skiing team, among others, have supported the products and now there will be the opportunity to see the advertisements that made Wasa one of the most famous trademarks in Sweden and even large parts of Europe.
In Filipstad Wasa also have the world´s biggest rye flour mill with a milling capacity of 50,000 tonnes per year. The mill at the beginning of the year underwent major investment when two old mill lines were replaced by one new one. One of the old rolling mills will be on display in the museum.
Since 1999, Wasa has been owned by the Italian family Barilla which was founded in 1877 by Pietro Barilla. Children and grandchildren have been in charge of the company and they have managed it well, and today Barilla’s products are market leaders throughout the world. At Wasabröd you will be able to take in Barilla’s history and development and purchase some of our pasta products.
Next to the shop/museum, there is also a small café. For groups there is also the possibility to pre-book lunch in the guest cafeteria.
Monday-Friday 1:00.p.m-6:00.pm. Saturday and Sunday it is closed.
