Sign: Gamla Kyrkogatan

During the first half of the 19th century, the church in Kristinehamn was built out of wood and stood on the site that is now the school yard for Brogymnasiet (Gamla Kyrkogatan 2) next to where you stand. It was a traditional cruciform church with a large cemetery around it.

If you walk up the schoolyard, you can still see where the church was located. How?
- Green sections form parts of the church that are visible from above.
- The school tower is a copy of the church tower.
- A stone setting shows where the church stood.
